I love exercising, especially at Harding University's on-campus facility called the Ganus Activities Complex (the GAC). It has been renovated within the last few years and offers a wide variety of activities, but I know many of my fellow students do not like exercising there. I chose to further explore the reasons behind this phenomenon during my capstone research class. I analyzed attendance records and conducted a convenience survey of the students in the Department of Communication and Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences and graphed the results using Tableau Desktop. Recently, my research won a 2021 Britt Poster Award at the Great Plains Honors Conference.
